Allen Middle School Policies

All students are expected to follow and maintain the school dress code. A student will be viewed as noncompliant for repeated dress code violations (Rule 6). Consequences will be administered accordingly.

  Expectations NOT ALLOWED
Shirts

• Off-the-shoulder tops are not permitted

• All sleeveless tops must be four finger width on shoulders

• Undergarments should not be visible

• All dresses and tops should not reveal cleavage and/or the stomach area

• Form-fitting spandex

• Crop Tops/Belly Shirts or Back out of shirts

• Spaghetti strap tops

• Sheer see-through material

• Inappropriate graphics and pictures (ie. Profanity, sexual nature, offensive, drug-related, alcohol, tobacco, gangrelated)

• Visible undershirts/tank tops, etc. must not be larger than outer shirt
Pants

• All pants with belt loops must be worn with belts.

• Any pants worn with holes in them must not reveal skin above the knee

• Sagging, baggy

• Below natural waist or hip-hugging that will reveal undergarments when standing or bending over (i.e. – gym shorts, underwear, skin)
Skirts, Skorts, Shorts, and Dresses

• All bottoms and dresses must be middle finger-tip length on all sides (front, back and sides).

• All sleeveless dresses must be four finger width on shoulders

• All dresses and tops should not reveal cleavage and/or stomach area

• Sagging, baggy, form-fitting, below natural waist or hip-hugging.

• Off shoulder dresses are not permitted
Shoes • Comfortable, hard bottom shoes • bedroom slippers, net slides, softbottom shoes, athletic slides, flip-flops ( all rubber bottoms)
Outerwear • Hoods and hats are to be removed upon entering the building. • No heavy, outdoor coats worn in the classroom.
Cell Phones (Rule 27-b) • Cell phones should be secured-not seen (in pockets, print), viewed in use or heard
